Keyboard shortcuts

Most things in SVGcinema have a key. The Keyboard shortcuts window lists them all, in five tabs that follow the main menu, with a search box across them.

Step by step

  1. Open the list

Click the keyboard button in the top bar, beside Undo and Redo, or press F1. It is in the main menu too: ☰ › Help › Keyboard shortcuts.

  2. Pick a tab

The tabs follow the main menu: General (File, Edit and Help), Layers, Tools, Animation and View, each in titled sections. Click Animation: playback, keyframes, easing, and the Shift keys that animate a property.

  3. Search it

Type zoom in Search shortcuts, at the top: the list shows every match from all the tabs, each with where it lives (View · Zoom).

  4. Close it

Click ✕, or press Esc. In the search box, the first Esc clears the search.

Good to know. Each row is a command and its keys: “or” separates two ways to do it, and words such as drag or double-click a node are what the mouse does. On a Mac the list shows ⌘ for Ctrl and ⌥ for Alt. Letter keys also work on keyboard layouts without Latin letters (Hebrew, Russian, Greek…), by the key's place.
