Licence.
Use the editor, and use what you make with it, the player included, for any purpose, commercially too. The full terms are below.
SVGcinema Copyright (c) 2026 asafco83 (https://github.com/asafco83/svgcinema). All rights reserved.
This software, including its source code, design and documentation (the "Software"), is proprietary. It is not open source, and no license to it is granted except as written below. Without the copyright holder's prior written permission you may not copy, modify, merge, publish, distribute, sublicense, sell or rent the Software or any part of it, or create works based on it.
What you may do:
1. Use the app. You may use SVGcinema as published by the copyright holder (for example at https://asafco83.github.io/svgcinema/) to create, save and export animations.
2. Use your exported files. The files you export from SVGcinema (such as animated SVG files) are yours to use, copy, distribute and sell for any purpose, including commercial purposes. This includes the parts of the Software that SVGcinema puts into those files (the animation player), as part of those files only.
3. Use the external player. Exported files can rely on the SVGcinema player file (cin-player.min.js, published as the npm package "svgcinema-player") instead of carrying the player inside them. You may load that file from a public content delivery network such as jsDelivr, and you may copy and host unmodified copies of it on your own servers, for the sole purpose of playing files exported from SVGcinema. You may not modify it, or use or distribute it for any other purpose.
4. View the repository. While the repository is public on GitHub, you may view it and fork it on GitHub as GitHub's Terms of Service allow. That gives you no other rights to the Software.
Changes, revocation and access. The copyright holder has the sole, unilateral and universal right, at any time, at their own discretion and without prior notice:
- to modify, replace or add to these terms, which then apply from the time they are published with the Software;
- to suspend or revoke any permission given in these terms, for any person or for everyone;
- to change, restrict, suspend or end access to the app, the player file, the npm package, the repository and any other part of the Software or of the services through which it is published. Continuing to use the Software after a change means accepting the changed terms. No permission in these terms is irrevocable, and none limits these rights.
Third-party components included with the Software (such as paper.js, opentype.js and the image encoders listed in third-party-notices.txt) remain under their own licenses.
Versions of the Software that were published earlier under the PolyForm Noncommercial License 1.0.0 stay under that license for those copies. This notice applies from the version that contains it onward.
THE SOFTWARE IS PROVIDED "AS IS", WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO THE WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE AND NONINFRINGEMENT. IN NO EVENT SHALL THE COPYRIGHT HOLDER BE LIABLE FOR ANY CLAIM, DAMAGES OR OTHER LIABILITY ARISING FROM, OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH THE SOFTWARE OR ITS USE.
