Nothing to install.
A few things to add.

The editor runs in your browser. These are the optional extras: thumbnails for your file manager, the player for your own server, and the files that teach AI assistants to use SVGcinema.

THUMBNAILS

Your projects, at a glance.

Every .SVGcinema file carries a picture of its first frame. Add a small free helper and your file manager shows it, so you find the right animation without opening it. Where no picture shows, as in a list, the file has the SVGcinema icon.

Windows

Thumbnails in File Explorer. Windows 10 and 11, on regular and ARM PCs.

Windows will warn you. That’s expected. Run SVGcinema-Thumbnails-Setup.exe. The installer isn’t signed, so Windows says the publisher is unknown. Choose More info, then Run anyway. It installs for you only, with no administrator rights.

Linux

GNOME Files, Nemo, Caja and Thunar.

THE PLAYER

Host the player yourself.

SVGs exported with Player: External share one player. It loads from jsDelivr by default; put this file on your own server instead and add one script line before your SVGs. Use it unmodified.

cin-player.min.js The player, version 1.2.0 about 26 KB Download
svgcinema-player The same player on npm and jsDelivr, every version npm i svgcinema-player

Exported files ask for the version they were made with, and every version stays on jsDelivr, so files you already shipped keep working. How the external player works →

FOR AI ASSISTANTS

Teach your assistant SVGcinema.

An assistant that can run scripts in the page, such as Claude in Chrome, edits your project with the design agent’s own tools. These give it the instructions.
